Be Held

You deserve nurturing and encouraging support while knowing that you were beautifully designed to bring your baby into the world whether at home, at a birth center, or at the hospital.

Behold, New Life

As surely as each new day will dawn, your baby will be born, and you will be transformed. Welcome to the wonder-filled and life-changing journey of motherhood.

  • The remaining $800 is due by your 37th week.

  • Payment plans are available upon request.

As your doula, I will:

Ongoing Support
  • Be available via email, call, or text from the moment you hire me to answer questions, share resources, or provide guidance.

  • Upon hiring, I will email the contract package and arrange to receive your deposit.

  • Matters of medical emergency should always be directed to your midwife or doctor. However, you are welcome to keep me updated on any changes in your care, conditions affecting your birth timing or location, or pregnancy loss.

  • If you need encouragement, a pep talk, or a listening ear, I will arrange a quiet time for a call or visit.

Prenatal Visits
  • I will meet with you for two in-home prenatal visits during your third trimester.

  • Each visit will last 1–3 hours depending on your needs.

  • We will discuss the labor process in depth, your goals and preferences, coping strategies, postpartum expectations, and more.

Birth
Support
  • I will be on-call starting at 37 weeks until your baby is born.

  • I will come to your location when you are ready for support.

  • During labor, I provide emotional and physical support including:

  • verbal affirmations

  • massage and counterpressure

  • movement and positioning suggestions

  • coping strategies

  • labor TENS unit assistance

  • answering questions and supporting your partner

  • My role does not include making decisions or speaking for you, but I will provide information so you and your partner can make informed choices.

  • A back-up doula will be arranged if I am delayed or unable to attend due to illness or family emergencies.

Postpartum Support
  • I provide 1–2 one-hour postpartum visits within the first two weeks after birth, depending on your needs.

  • Visits include discussing your birth experience, answering newborn care and feeding questions, and bringing a treat of your choice.

  • I am happy to assist with light household chores, such as dishes or starting a load of laundry, during my visit.

Location Policy
  • I currently attend births in Kitsap County: home births, birth centers, and St. Michael’s Hospital.

  • I do not attend free births (births without a licensed medical professional such as a midwife).
